Daniel M. Smires, PTPhysical Therapist
Dan Smires, PT, MDT, graduated from New York State University at Brooklyn with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1991. He was a senior physical therapist at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in New York City where he also taught physiology to the physical therapy assistant class at New York University.
Dan moved to New Jersey in 1997, where he has worked in outpatient as well as sub acute settings, specializing in orthopaedic rehabilitation. In 2001, he became one of approximately 750 Certified McKenzie therapists in the world specializing in mechanical diagnosis and treatment of spine related disorders. Dan specializes in orthopaedic physical therapy and has advanced instruction in Redcord therapy as well as biomechanical foot and ankle evaluation and treatment. He is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, their two young daughters and golden retriever, Piper. Dan also enjoys cooking and is an avid fisherman, if not in practice at least in desire.
